Does our timing look good, or did we bd too early?

My boyfriend and I had late Friday night (technically early Saturday morning). On Saturday and Sunday I had cramping twinges on my left side only. Then this morning (Monday, cd14) I noticed a large glob of stretchy mucous when I wiped. Does EWCM come on the day of ovulation or before? Do you think the was too early or is there still a chance for this month? Would you consider the bd'ing on cd 11 or 12? Unfortunately he is now out of town visiting family for the holidays so there is not a chance to try again today.
