Going to Beaches Resort (similar to Sandals but you can bring kids) is 5 nights enough time there?

or should I extend it for a week? The airfare is a grande for my husband and I to go (and we are taking our baby), and its 500 bucks a day roughly at this resort so it would be another thousand to stay two more nights, but how often are we going to be at a 5 star resort in the carribean? My husband is not a real travel hound so I don't want to push my limits staying somewhere longer, but is 5 nights really enough? Thanks
