There is nothing wrong with you. You can take control of this. The mind is complex and crafty, and it may seem that these things just happen, but you are able to take control. First, don't give the behavior too much power; if you worry about it and think you're nuts then it will become more powerful. Second, actively step in and change the ociations. Third, tell yourself often that you are completely ok just as you are. With time and disciplined action, this will change dramatically.
