Immediate Post-WWI European Governments?

Every country was scared to start another world war, so they were very careful about the actions they took. (in WWI everyone thought the war would be over by christmas of the same year it had started.) Also because germany had united in 1871, every country realized the germany threatened to upset the balance of power in europe. Britain especially was scared because germany represented a threat to their naval supremacy. Don't forget that after WWI, Europe went into a state of grave depression. The depression after the war was one of a kind because after WWII the U.S. offered Marshall Plan aid to just about every country (it gave the countries trying to fight off communism money w/o any compensation)-- but thats another story. After WWI, Europe governments wern't stable. The depression and easy Nazi domination in Germany are obvious examples as to why. (Germany's government was so weak in the 1930's that the country looked for anyone who made promises to rebuild their war-stricken country). WWI made Germany its battleground after Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand was inated along with his wife June 28, 1914 by Prussian liberals. Austria delared war on Prussia, and other counrties got involved....and the rest is history.
