Thiss guy said he liked me but now never talks to me?

this guy on my swim team who i have liked for about a month now and i have been talking. he has really high standards and hes really hard to understand, i never thought he would like me but my friend went and asked him a bunch of questions about me and apparently he said i was the right girl and that there is a potential that he likes me and that he just needs to talk to me more. ever since that day, he has been ignoring my texts and my calls. he said he wasnt the relationship type unless he finds the right girl and he said i might be the right girl but he wants to wait till school starts to start a new relationship. please help me. it really depresses me when he doesnt respond to anything i ever say to him. what do i do? i dont wanna get over him. advice please. thanks in advance.
